€2,750.00

Beautiful Dutch master violin from. Built in 1936 in Amersfoort by Johannes Pot. Inside the violin is the original label, showing the year 1936 and the opus no. 52. Johannes Pot has clearly given his own style to this violin; elegant shape of the blades with a relatively high arching. The transparent gold-brown varnish on a yellow ground beautifully highlights the deep flame in the one-piece maple back. The violin is finely built with a narrow, characteristic scroll. The sound of the violin is warm, powerful and full in the lower registers. This is a great opportunity for those looking for an affordable Dutch master violin.
