German violin ca. 1940
German violin made around 1940. The fine quality and craftsmanship suggest the violin originated from a smaller workshop in Markneukirchen. The beautiful, deep grain of the one-piece maple back is striking. This is accentuated by the tasteful gold-brown varnish in various shades. The violin is finely crafted with a carefully carved scroll and sharp purfling. With minor signs of wear, as befits an instrument nearly 100 years old, this violin is in excellent condition. The violin is fitted with a new bridge, tailpiece, and strings. The violin has a balanced, lived-in sound with a full and rich timbre.
Body length: 35.8 cm | String length: 32.9 cm Sound characteristics: balanced, rich timbre Rental price: €18 per month
