This characterful violin from the early 1900s has several stylistic features reminiscent of the French school: fine scroll with black accents, sharp, wide purfling, and a tasteful red/orange varnish with light crackle in several areas. Unfortunately, the violin's origins are unknown to us. The excellent craftsmanship and beautiful tonewoods are clearly visible – finely grained spruce for the top and balanced flamed maple for the back. The violin is in excellent condition and is characterized by its exceptionally large, warm, and resonant tone. Light and easy to play, it's an attractive violin with many possibilities.
