This attractive violin was built in one of the workshops in Markneukirchen around 1920. The violin is a good hand-built quality violin modeled on the Stradivarius model with relatively flat arch. The front is made of medium-grained spruce and the one-piece back of very beautiful, deeply flamed maple. The transparent lacquer has an appealing red-brown color, which has been tastefully antiqued on a golden-yellow background. The finely cut curl has an elegant shape. The sound is balanced and has a clear and warm character with a sweet twist in the high registers (sound clip below).
