Old German violin from the collection of German violin maker Carl Sattler of Pforzheim. Made around 1920. The violin has a beautiful, transparent reddish-brown varnish on a yellow base, tastefully antiqued in several places. The tonewood used is of good quality, and the back is made of beautiful, balanced maple. The quality is clearly evident in the fine, distinctively carved scroll and the elegant, relatively high arches of the front and back. The violin has a warm, powerful sound with beautiful overtones. It is ideal for the advanced violinist.
