This old Markneukirchen violin, based on a Guarneri del Gesù violin model, was made around 1950 in a smaller family workshop – the quality far exceeds that of standard studio instruments. The violin is very comfortable to play, and the transparent, tasteful orange-brown varnish on a gold background beautifully accentuates the deep grain of the one-piece maple back.
