Verhuurd

Beautiful 20th-century Hopf violin built in one of the workshops in Klingenthal (Saxony). The violin is stamped "Hopf" on the back. The Hopf model is characterized by its typical broad shoulders, with the curve of the top kept relatively flat. This characteristic is also beautifully reflected in this violin. The wood used—balanced grained spruce and mildly flamed maple—is of good quality. The beautiful, soft gold-brown lacquer, which shows lovely patina in various places, and the meticulous construction—evident in the finely carved scrollwork and sharp inlays—demonstrate the craftsmanship of the builder. The sound has character; powerful, mature, and with overtones. Body length: 35.6 cm | String length: 33.0 cm Sound characteristics: powerful, mature, and with overtones Rental price: €18 per month
