Beautiful master violin by Jerzy Piorko. Jerzy Piorko studied from 1969 to 1974 in Nowy Targ and opened his own studio in Lubin (Poland) in 1984. In 1991 he won first prize in the Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Makers Contest. He built this violin in 1989 after the classical Stradivarius model. For the back he used deep, balanced flamed maple. Finely grained spruce for the top. The great craftsmanship is also visible in the beautifully carved scroll. The violin is easy to respond with a powerful, radiant tone (sound clip below).
