J.o. Nobitschek, Innsbruck 1943

€750.00

An interesting violin bearing a label from J.o. Nobitschek of Innsbruck, dated 1943. Although this is not a master instrument by the maker himself—who won several awards for his fine copies of renowned Italian masters—it is a skillfully crafted piece, likely originating from his workshop. A repaired crack in the top plate (on the lower right, reinforced internally with cleats) has no adverse effect on the sound and has been fully accounted for in the pricing. With its powerful, balanced, and soprano tone, this violin comes highly recommended; it offers an excellent opportunity to own a high-quality (antique) instrument at an accessible price point. We have fitted the violin with new pegs, a new bridge, and new strings.

Body length: 35.8 cm | String length: 32.9 cm

Sound characteristics: powerful, balanced, soprano‍ ‍

Rental price: 18 euros per month
