Beautiful instrument made at the end of the last century or the beginning of this century. The style and slected wood suggest that the violin was made in Eastern Europe, probably Poland. The regular flame in the maple back is beautifully expressed in the transparent orange-red varnish. The beautifully carved scroll, sharp purfling and elegant shape of the blades reveal the great craftsmanship of the unknown maker.
