Violin Mittenwald, Robert Barth

€1,200.00

Beautiful antique Mittenwald violin from 1908 by Robert Barth of Stuttgart. This violin, with its original label and brandedstamp, boasts the advantages of woods from the Karwendel Mountains: high-quality spruce for the top and a one-piece maple back with a beautiful, intriguing grain. This antique violin exhibits the typical Mittenwald characteristics; built to an elegant design with flat curves, based on Stradivarius patterns. The beautiful, large, distinctive scrollwork and the sharp purfling are tasteful examples of craftsmanship. As is the—typical of Mittenwald violins—glossy, red-orange varnish on a yellow background, which shows slight wear and beautiful patina on the upper right side of the top. This fine Mittenwald violin has new keys, bridge, and strings and is ready to unfold its clear, powerful, and mature tone.
