Werner Barth, 1956
Markneukirchen's violin-making tradition is one of the most renowned in Europe and has produced many excellent violin makers. A beautiful example is this master violin by Werner Barth, made in Bad Brambach in 1956. The attractive, confident scrollwork complements the elegantly chosen Stradivari model with its low ribs and flat curves. The beautiful, transparent orange-brown varnish on a gold base beautifully accentuates the tonewood's texture, particularly the fine, powerful fins in the maple back. The powerful, resonant tone is clear and radiant.
Body length: 35.6 cm | String length: 32.8 cm
Sound characteristics: resonant, clear, radiant
Rental price: €25 per month
