Wilhelm Hufenreuther, Duisburg 1969

€2,500.00

Beautiful German violin by Wilhelm Hufenreuther, made in 1969. In addition to the label, the violin is also signed on the top of the back. Wilhelm learned the craft from his father Frits, a renowned violin maker in Dessau. The rich, soft, orange-gold oil varnish beautifully accentuates the fine structures in the tonewood; regularly grained spruce for the top and balanced, mildly flamed maple for the back. The violin is very carefully constructed with elegant F-holes, sharp purfling, and fine edge finishing. A magnificent master violin suitable for the advanced violinist that impresses with a large, resonant sound; radiantly clear with great resonance.
