Radek Horcicka works in his own studio in Plesna (Czech Republic). The motivation to become a bow builder arose after a visit to his uncle, Milan Oubrecht, who is considered one of the best bow makers of the moment. Radek was apprenticed to his uncle who gradually taught him the secrets of bowmaking. Radek makes octagonal and round bows for violin, viola and cello according to his own design. He makes his bows according to the customer's wishes with silver or silver-nickel. Musicians from different European countries play with his bows. In 2014 he was entrepreneur of the year in the Karlovy Vary region. As a result, Czech television made a report about him and his work.

Radek's bows are used by soloists such as Daniel Veis (concert violinist and professor at Park University, USA), Lucie Sedlakova Hulova (Kinsky Trio Prague) and Jaroslav Havel (Trondheim Symphony Orchestra).
