Characterful German violin, built in 1928 according to the label. The violin has relatively round shapes and elegant, finely carved F-holes. The mirrored maple back has a regular flaming that is beautifully reflected in the transparent gold-yellow lacquer. The inlays - sharp and beautifully wide - are clearly made by an experienced hand. The characterful scroll is completely in keeping with the violin. The violin has a full, warm, clear sound (sound clip below).
