German violin after Jacob Stainer

German violin after Jacob Stainer

€650.00

German violin made around 1930 in Saxony Germany. This successful copy of the classic Jacobus Stainer model has the characteristic vertically designed f-holes and the high arching of the top and back. The relatively narrow ribs and the precise purfling are the work of an experienced hand and good craftsmanship. The violin is well preserved, professionally adjusted, and has a tasteful red-orange brown varnish that beautifully brings out the deep flame in the wood. The violin is an excellent study violin with its clear and open sound that is rich in overtones.
