German violin after Jacob Stainer

German violin after Jacob Stainer

€750.00

This high-quality violin was built in Markneukirchen in Saxony at the beginning of the 20th century. Stainer's model was very popular with the violin makers in the Vogtland region around that time. Many workshops built good stainer copies and this violin is a good example of this. The F-holes and relatively high arching have the typical stainer shape. The back has a particularly fine, mild flame. There is a light spot of wear on the top due to playing in high positions. The warm, balanced sound makes this violin, which is slightly smaller than the average 4/4 violin, very suitable for the advanced student with a relatively small hand.
