Interesting French violin. The instrument shows the attention with which better French studio violins were built around 1900. The beautiful, wide inlay is inlaid close to the edge and the blades have a strikingly deep flute at the edge of the blades. The scroll is fine and cut with great attention. The regular flaming in the mirrored ash tree back panel shows off beautifully in the transparent brown oil lacquer on a yellow background. This French violin is in good shape. The round, noble sound with Italian character was the favourite of the violinist who plays the sound clips (sound clip below).
